The photograph captures some of the Kattan family at a political event in Bethlehem. The man in the centre of the image wearing sunglasses is the Pasha Tewfiq Mattia Kattan, Margo Mattia Kattan (nee Giries Kattan)'s husband, who was a political candidate for the Jordanian government during the period of Jordanian rule over Bethlehem and the wider West Bank. To his right is Margo's brother Victor Giries Kattan's wife Marguerite Kattan (nee Mattia Kattan), and the nun behind them is her sister Soeur Mattias (Lucy Mattia Kattan).
