The photograph captures some of the Kattan family at an event in Bethlehem. The man in the centre of the photograph is the Pasha Tewfiq Mattia Kattan, Margo Kattan (nee Giries Kattan)'s husband who served as a political candidate for the Jordanian government during the period of Jordanian rule over Bethlehem and the wider West Bank. To his right is his wife Margo Kattan, next to her is her brother's wife Marguerite Kattan (nee Mattia Kattan), wife of Victor Giries Kattan. The nun behind them is Soeur Mattias (Lucy Mattia Kattan).
