Description

This is a digital reproduction of the altar's main entrance called "Royal Doors" of Saint George Church which is under St. Nicholas Church, Beit Jala, a short distance from Bethlehem. The door has six icons depicting: the Annunciation scene of Virgin Mary and Archangel Gabriel at the top part, four bishops at the middle (Saint Nicholas at the far right with Saint Gregory next to him), and Sait Demitri at the bottom right side with Saint George at the bottom left side. The icons are painted in the Jerusalem Style of the late 19th and early 20th century and is located at the middle of the church iconostasis. The size is 99.5 X 129 cm.
