This is a digital reproduction of an icon depicting Saint George defeating the dragon, held in St. George Church which is under St. Nicholas Church, Beit Jala, a short distance from Bethlehem. The icon is painted in the Jerusalem Style of the 19th and early 20th century and is located at the wall of the church on the right side next to the iconostasis. The size of the icon is 118.5 X 98 cm. The Arabic inscription reads: "The Holy Great Martyr George the Trophy-Bearer" and the Greek inscription read: "Saint George".
