Description
This is a digital reproduction of a portable icon depicting Mother of God, held in St. George Church which is under St. Nicholas Church, Beit Jala, a short distance from Bethlehem. The icon is painted in the Jerusalem Style of the 19th and early 20th century and is located at the church iconostasis, 1st icon on the left side of the main entrance (royal/altar) door. The size is 26 X 35 cm. The Arabic inscription reads: "Mother of God".
