This is a digital reproduction of an icon depicting the Entrance of the Theotokos into the Temple, held in St. Nicholas Church, Beit Jala, a short distance from Bethlehem. The icon is painted in the Jerusalem Style of the late 19th and early 20th century and is located at the church iconostasis, 1st row, 8th icon to the left side of the main icon of the Crucifixion. The size is 37 X 28.3 cm. The Greek and Arabic inscription at the top read: "The Theotokos into the Temple", and the Greek inscription below reads: "Gift from the custodian Rev. Seraphim, 1850".
