This is a digital reproduction of an icon depicting the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, held in St. Nicholas Church, Beit Jala, a short distance from Bethlehem. The icon is painted in the Jerusalem Style of the late 19th and early 20th century and is located at the church iconostasis, 1st row from the top. This is the main icon at the center of row, just below the cross and above the main entrance entrance (royal/altar) door . The size is 37.4 X 28.3 cm. The Greek inscription reads: "the Crucifision of Christ".
