Description
This is a digital reproduction of an image held in the Library of Congress. This image depicts a section of the Wadi Arrub aqueduct cut into the rock which runs along the South East hill into Soloman's Pools. Soloman's Pools are three large water reservoirs located outside of Bethlehem on the road to Hebron, which date back to the 2nd century BC. They were part of a complex ancient water system that comprised acqueducts and springs. The lower pool can be seen in distance.
