Description: This is a digital reproduction of an image held in the Library of Congress. This image depicts an aerial view of Soloman's Pools. This photo is part of a series produced by Eric Matson of color slides and filmstrips of the Holy Land. Matson was among the most important photographers of the American Colony in Jerusalem. This colour slide was reproduced from a black and white negative or print which was hand coloured and then photographed with colour film. The original image was either taken by either the American Colony Photo Department or its successor, the Matson Photo Service.
