This is a digital reproduction of an image held in the Library of Congress. The image depicts a well populated street in Beit Sahour, a town east of Bethlehem with a largely Christian population. The men photographed wear traditional dress, including the head cloth and head rope and the tarbush, whilst the boys wear shorts and shirts. The image is part of a collection that was gifted to the Library of Congress by the board of directors of the American Colony of Jerusalem.
