This is a digital reproduction of an image held in the Library of Congress. The image depicts three camel-riders approaching Bethlehem from the north on the old Jerusalem-Bethlehem road. The Bethlehem skyline can be seen in the distance, including the Church of the Nativity in the centre of the photograph. Nearer to the riders, on the right-hand side, can be seen the dome of Rachel's Tomb and the Jacir Palace, constructed by Bethlehem mayor and merchant Suleiman Jacir in 1910-1913. This image is the cropped version of the original. This image exists as part of the Bethlehem People and Places collection within the Library of Congress project of the Planet Bethlehem Archive.
