This is a digital reproduction of an image held in the Library of Congress. This image depicts the remains of two charred bed-steads from the police barracks photographed on the roof. The Bethlehem police station was set on fire and gutted by Arab rebels on 14 September 1938 during the 1936-39 Arab Revolt. This image exists as part of the Revolt Against the British collection within the Library of Congress project in the Planet Bethlehem Archive.
