This is a digital reproduction of an image held in the Library of Congress. This image depicts a street scene in Bethlehem not long after the post office and police barracks were set on fire by Arab rebels during the 1936-39 Arab Revolt. The image shows British soldiers stood holding guns on the back of an army truck with Bethlehemite men on either side of the street looking at them. This image exists as part of the Revolt Against the British collection within the Library of Congress project in the Planet Bethlehem Archive.
