Title
Letters regarding the American Colony Store finances, 23 January 1927
Description
This is a digital reproduction of an image held in the Library of Congress. These letters from 1931 discuss potential ways out of the resolving the American Colony Store's financial trouble. Among the letters is memorandum of agreement which states that J. E. Holley of Cincinnati, Ohio, will borrow a set of approximately two thousand slide prints of the Bible Land for a period of five years. These are to be selected from the slide catalogue of Vester and Company. Holley will use the slides to distribute a series called “The Bible Land and its People” from which the American Colony Store will receive royalties (minimum $1,000 per year). It seems that the slides will be shown on projectors in churches.
