This is a digital reproduction of an image held in the Library of Congress. This image depicts men and women working together to thresh the crops during the harvest. This image is part of a photo series produced by the American Colony Photo Department in Jerusalem or its successor, the Matson Photo Service of their re-enactment of the Book of Ruth. The series is set in the Bethlehem area and includes local farmers who were actually harvesting, threshing and winnowing their crops at the time.
