Warda Simhan (93 years old from Bethlehem) interviewed by Grace al-Ali. She discusses the following: Ottoman rule was good until World War I began; her family had land which they used to farm for their food but when the locusts came they destroyed everything and this was followed by the drought; military conscription and how rich people were able to pay to not be recruited.
