Salem Hamdan (85 years old from al-Ubeidiya) interviewed by Ibrahim Salem. He discusses the following: locust plague and how it covered the land; a man told them to dig a hole in the ground and fill it with Saej (صاج) to get rid of the locusts; spread of diseases such as cholera. Original audio recording: cassette tape. Transcript: word for word. In the original collection at Bethlehem University this cassette tape was categorised as File 23 of Box 18. This fileset exists as part of the Ottoman Empire and World War I collection within the Bethlehem University Oral History Project of the Planet Bethlehem Archive.
