Ibrahim Rishmawi (91 years old from Beit Sahour) interviewed by Manar al-Sous in 2006. He discusses the following: British Mandate and the Arab Revolt of 1936-39; Balfour Declaration and the uprisings against British rule; development of conflict with Zionism; poverty of the people during the Arab Revolt and how his family suffered trying to harvest their fig trees near Jewish settlements; during the Revolt people used to go out to buy things and were protected along the road by the rebels.
