Description

The images are a digital reproduction of a handwritten letter and accompanying translation donated by Kathy Sa'ade Kenny. In this letter Mitri Sa'ade writes to his sister Katrina Sa'ade from Bethlehem detailing his unsuccessful move to Romania with his wife after having sold all of their belongings, and their subsequent reluctant return to Bethlehem during the Arab Revolt. He asks for financial assistance as they are now penniless after travelling. Mitri also notes that George Farhat (Katrina and Suleiman Farhat's son) has moved to Bethlehem and is waiting for his mother to organise his passage to California.
